Terms of Service

Effective date: March 2026

Version 2026.1

These terms govern your use of Kaze, the AI chat companion for children. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Kaze.

About the service

Kaze is an AI-powered chat companion designed for children, with full parental oversight. The service requires a parent or guardian account and verified parental consent before any child can participate. AI responses are generated by third-party providers (currently OpenAI and Anthropic) and, while we apply safety filters, responses may not always be perfectly accurate or appropriate.

Eligibility

To create a Kaze account, you must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian of any children who will use the service. Children may only use Kaze with verified parental consent through an account created by their parent or guardian. One account is permitted per parent or guardian email address.

Parent and guardian responsibilities

As a parent or guardian using Kaze, you agree to: provide accurate information when creating your account and your children's profiles, maintain regular oversight of your children's usage of the service, review conversations and activity summaries regularly, ensure your children understand how to use the service appropriately, and accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable use

Kaze is intended for educational and personal use. You agree not to: attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent safety filters or content moderation, use the service for any illegal purpose, share your account credentials with others, or use Kaze for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission.

AI limitations and disclaimer

AI responses are generated automatically by third-party language models and may contain factual errors, omissions, or inappropriate content despite our safety filters. Kaze is not a substitute for professional education, medical advice, psychological counseling, or any other professional service. While we implement multi-layer safety filtering, we cannot guarantee that all content generated by the AI will be appropriate for every child. Parents should review conversations regularly.

Accounts and termination

You may delete your account at any time through Settings > Data & Privacy. Upon deletion, all your data — including children's profiles, conversations, and account information — is permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

Intellectual property

The Kaze service, its design, code, and branding are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The conversations your children have with the AI belong to you. You may export your data at any time through the in-app settings.

Limitation of liability

Kaze is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We are not liable for AI-generated content, including any errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate material that may pass through our safety filters. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service, if any.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email. Your continued use of Kaze after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The version number and effective date are shown at the top of this page.
